Which class should I take?
If you are unsure of which class to take, send me an e-mail and let me know.
Level One Partnership & Patterns
In order to have a partnership with a horse you need to understand their language. Parelli Natural Horsemanship takes you step by step through learning how to communicate with your horse. Horses have survived for centuries using Opposition Reflex, which is doing the opposite of what Predators want you to do. This language can be broken down into 7 games that horses play and broken down further into 3 principle games. As Pat has said “If you master the first three games you can teach your horse anything you want to. What an amazing focus for a clinic! When you realize that Opposition Reflex is the reason you get frustrated, disillusioned, and get mediocre results with your horses, you'll move into a whole new level of understanding about what you need to learn to make incomparable progress ... and it doesn't matter what riding experience level you're at now.
This clinic introduces you to the basic concepts and skills of the Parelli program. The focus of this clinic will be starting and developing a strong lasting partnership with your horse on the ground therefore no prerequisite riding skills are required
Why start on the ground?
When you understand the horse’s language you will want to start building your communication on the ground first, so when you ride, it will be an easy transition. This also keeps you safe, allowing you to read your horse for any tightness before riding.
What will be covered:

• Communication Basic Equine Psychology: Learn why horses do what they do and why force, fear and intimidation do not work

Clinic descriptions coming soon! Email Jesse for descriptions if you need them.
Private / Group lessons
This is a one to three hour lesson with a maximum of four students. As with the private lessons, each student can express their preference for the lesson. During the one to three hour lesson, each student will have their issue addressed. The other participants will improve their capabilities while each issue is improved. Students of multiple levels are welcome to participate in group lessons. You must be a Savvy Club member to attend any and all activities. If you are not a member of our student body email me to find out how you can get a temporary pass to take your membership for a test drive.
Workshops
Workshops will consist of three hour segments, and are considered "Savvy Specific" with a minimum of 4 students. They may even be a specific focus in the levels program. Examples are: Horsenalities, Ride In, Ride Out, carrot stick riding, Parelli puzzles, impulsion games, Level 1 riding, transitions, lead changes, On-Line Transitions and direction changes. A particular savvy or game will be may be selected by Jesse based upon observation of the group. Jesse likes to teach the first hour and a half on the ground, take a break, then finish the lesson with riding examples of what was just practiced on the ground. The focus of Workshops is practice, practice, practice. Students new to PNH cannot participate in a Workshop. Workshop participation requires that you have purchased Pat Parelli’s Savvy System, or taken three private lessons, or participated in a group lesson, or participated in a clinic. You must be a Savvy Club member to attend any and all activities. If you are not a member of our student body email me to find out how you can get a temporary pass to take your membership for a test drive.
Auditors/Spectators
Auditor tickets can be arranged with the hosts listed in our Clinic Schedule or Jesse.
Attending a Jesse Peters course as an Auditor Student is more than just auditing. It is an effective, very affordable way to learn and develop your horsemanship skills. You will observe and participate without a horse. This is an interactive opportunity to participate. You'll have the distinct advantage of being able to focus on what the others in the class are doing, and you'll have time to make notes, take photos, and ask as many questions as you like. Jesse invites and encourages questions from the Auditors at all times. You must be a Savvy Club member to attend any and all activities. If you are not a member of our student body email me to find out how you can get a temporary pass to take your membership for a test drive.
Your progress will be even faster when you first take the time to work on yourself. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in any of the games, exercises and simulations that do not directly involve the horses. This is when students really have time to develop a great feel for the techniques before interacting with a horse. With this kind of preparation you'll communicate much more clearly with your horse, because you'll already have a precise picture established in your head.
